Paris Saint Germain defender Sammy Traore has joined Auxerre on loan until the end of the season.
The defender has decided to depart Parc des Princes after dropping down manager Paul Le Guen's pecking order.
Auxerre do not have an option come next summer to sign Traore, who is contracted to PSG until 2009.
With Auxerre shipping in a Ligue 1 high of 15 goals this term, Traore's arrival will come as a much-needed boost.
The Malian defender is likely to come straight into contention for their next league clash against Nice on September 15.
