Lyon boss has no problem with striker airing his opinion

Lyon manager Claude Puel claims Lisandro Lopez is prone to mood swings, but insists he would not change his ways. The Argentine striker has always been a temperamental customer, with his South American roots making him fiercely competitive. He has, however, forged a reputation as one of the top marksmen in Europe, having been a regular source of goals for Porto and Lyon. Puel admits the 27-year-old can be difficult to handle at times, leading to inevitable clashes between coach and player, but is adamant that Lisandro would not be the same player if that confrontational streak was removed.

Emotions

"You need to ask him what happens in his mind sometimes," said the Lyon coach. "There will probably be many more arguments to come, but you have to accept that 'Licha' can be a moody player at times. "He wants to win and I would rather have a player like him than one who keeps his emotions bottled up. "We have a good relationship. It is important not to read too much into his behaviour."
