Triple blow for Lyon

Cris, Diakhate and Toulalan to miss crunch clash

Lyon are set to be without three key men when they travel to title rivals Marseille on Sunday. Defensive duo Cris and Pape Diakhate, as well as midfield lynchpin Jeremy Toulalan, will all be missing for the crunch clash at Stade Velodrome. France international Toulalan missed last weekend's 2-0 victory over Toulouse with a thigh problem and has been unable to shake off that complaint. Diakhate also sat out that game, although his absence was not explained.

Doubtful

Brazilian defender Cris did figure in the Toulouse encounter, but picked up a groin strain and is now a major doubt for the Marseille trip. Right-back Anthony Reveillere is also unlikely to play any part in Lyon's latest fixture as he continues to nurse a calf injury. On a more positive note, Argentine midfielder Cesar Delgado came through a reserve run-out on Sunday unscathed and influential playmaker Yoann Gourcuff is back in training after shaking off a knock picked up on European duty against Schalke three weeks ago. Lyon will enter their meeting with Marseille sat third in the table, two points adrift of league leaders Lille, while the champions lie fifth, a further two points back.
