Bordeaux keeper commits to club until 2015

Bordeaux goalkeeper Cedric Carrasso has put pen to paper on a new contract that keeps him at the club until 2015. The 29-year-old's future had been the subject of some speculation after a string of impressive performances reportedly attracted the attention of several clubs across Europe. But Carrasso recently stated that he was '100 per cent committed' to Bordeaux and he has now backed up those words by signing a long-term deal. Carrasso, who is France's third-choice goalkeeper behind Lyon's Hugo Lloris and Steve Mandanda of Marseille, joined Bordeaux from Toulouse in 2009. He has played in 38 matches in all competitions this season but conceded his place to Ulrich Rame for Bordeaux's final game of the campaign at home to Montpellier. Rame, 38, was playing his last match for Bordeaux after 14 years at the club.
