The highly-rated frontman remains contracted to his current club until 2016, but that has done little to curb the incessant speculation regarding his future.
A big-money bid would be required to free him from his current terms, but those sides being linked with a summer approach would have little trouble financing a transfer.
Free-spending Paris St Germain are considered to be the frontrunners in the chase for Aubameyang's signature, but his representative admits that a less high-profile switch may be sought as the 23-year-old continues to work on his game.
Oscar Damiani said in France Football: "Paris are following him, but we don't know who will be the coach there next season.
"There are also a lot of forwards in their squad. If it is important for him to leave, it is more important for him to play.
"We have not yet decided if it would be better for him to join an intermediate club or join a big club immediately."
Aubameyang's father will also have a say on his next move, and he claims money will not be a factor.
Pierre Aubameyang said: "Considering the quality of his season and the improvement he could make, he will be a candidate to join a very big club. We want to go high, but respecting all parties.
"It is out of the question to block his improvement just to earn a lot of money. No-one will influence me with big money."
