Monaco moved back to the top of Ligue 1 on goal difference after a late strike from Frederic Sammaritano earned Dijon a 1-1 draw at the Stade Gaston-Gerard.

Guido Carrillo had put Leonardo Jardim's side ahead when he slotted in from close range on 16 minutes.

The early strike had looked enough to leave Monaco on course for all three points which would have moved them clear of Nice at the summit, but with just three minutes left midfielder Sammaritano tapped in to earn the hosts a deserved draw.

Majeed Waris' goal at the start of the second half proved enough to give bottom club Lorient a much-needed 2-1 win over Rennes in the Brittany derby at Le Moustoir.

Lorient had not won in Ligue 1 since the end of September, with Bernard Casoni now in charge, but took the lead on 28 minutes when defender Michael Ciani headed in from a corner.

The advantage, though, was soon cancelled out when Giovanni Sio equalised in the 32nd minute following some wayward defending.

Lorient, however, went on to claim all three points after Ghana forward Waris slotted home from close range just a minute into the second half.

Lille ended their winless streak with a 4-2 victory over Caen at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy.

The hosts, who had last week sacked manager Frederic Antonetti, took the lead on 13 minutes through a header from Portugal forward Eder, who later went off injured.

Naim Sliti made it 2-0 midway through the first half, but Caen pulled a goal back on 31 minutes through midfielder Julien Feret.

The hosts made sure of a welcome three points under interim coach Patrick Collot with two quick goals in as many second-half minutes as first Nicolas de Preville slotted in just after the hour before Rony Lopes added a fourth.

With six minutes left, Caen midfielder Ronny Rodelin scored against his old club.
