Celta Vigo's European hopes were dealt a blow as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Espanyol.

Iago Aspas gave Celta the lead after 28 minutes but Espanyol, who are not quite safe yet, secured a valuable point thanks to Marco Asensio's equaliser 11 minutes later.

In Tuesday's other Primera Division match, Ricky van Wolfswinkel scored the only goal seven minutes from time as Real Betis defeated 10-man Las Palmas, who had Aythami Artiles sent off in the first half.
