Former Espanyol striker joins Primera Liga new-boys
Real Sociedad have bolstered their squad with the signing of former Spain striker Raul Tamudo.
The 32-year-old left Espanyol at the end of last season to end a long stint with the club stretching back to 1996.
He is Espanyol's all-time leading scorer but fell out of favour with coach Mauricio Pochettino last term and rarely featured.
Tamudo has now joined Sociedad on a one-year contract and is looking forward to the challenge.
"My time at Espanyol was wonderful but I have to forget the past and live in the present," he said.
Real Sociedad are looking forward to life back in the Primera Liga after winning promotion last season.
