Defender Jeremy Mathieu has admitted that he is eager to sign a new deal at Valencia.
The French full-back joined Los Che from Toulouse last season helping the club into the UEFA Champions League.
Mathieu has been in impressive form this season with Valencia currently sitting at the top of the Primera Liga.
However, although the 26-year-old has expressed his desire to stay at the Mestalla, the club have yet to offer the player a contract extension.
Mathieu said: "My new deal? Valencia are still interested in me although I have not yet received a formal proposition.
"My family are very happy in the city and it is very important that we can sort something out."
