Left-back could need surgery

Levante have sent Asier Del Horno to see his former surgeon to determine if he needs another operation. Del Horno is struggling with his Achilles tendon and was in visible pain following the defeat to Deportivo La Coruna at the weekend. The Spanish international full-back, who is on loan at Levante from Valencia, has previously undergone surgery on his Achilles in 2005 whilst with Chelsea. "What Asier has looks bad because it hurts him a lot. We are losing key players for a long time," Levante coach Luis Garcia said. Del Horno is now due to visit Dr Mikel Sanchez, who performed his last operation, and a decision will be made on whether he needs to go under the knife again.
