The 34-year-old linked up with the Spanish club in January after leaving Chinese side Dalian Aerbin.
Liverpool had been linked at the time, but Keita opted for Valencia as he saw more chances of first-team action and he has started eight games since his arrival.
Now Keita is feeling good and is hopeful he can continue playing for several more years.
"I don't want to look arrogant, but on the physical level I believe I can go on playing until I am 40-year-old. Then it is rather a mental matter, with trips every three days," he told L'Equipe.
"I believe I have achieved good performances. I always felt I was still capable of playing at a very high level and could play in a European environment with ambition and pressure. I missed all that.
"There is also my family. For my wife and children there were not a lot of things to do in China. But I can't complain, I know why I went."
