Joe Hart a 'Rolls-Royce' of a goalkeeper, according to Torino team-mate

Torino have a “Rolls-Royce” of a goalkeeper in on-loan Manchester City misfit Joe Hart, according to his team-mate.

Hart was shipped out to Torino in the summer when Pep Guardiola decided to sign Claudio Bravo from Barcelona as his first choice.

The England regular has settled well in Italy and helped Torino come from behind to record their third win on the bounce with a 4-1 Serie A victory over Palermo on Monday.

Guardiola's decision has been criticised following a string of mistakes by Hart's replacement Bravo, who was sent off in Wednesday's Champions League tie at Barcelona with the score at 1-0 and had to sit and suffer as the hosts went on to triumph 4-0.

Hart, meanwhile, has kept six clean sheets in 10 games and Torino's Nigerian midfielder Joel Obi admits having the 29-year-old within their ranks has boosted the atmosphere at the club.

He told The Sun: "To have a goalkeeper like him changed the mood in the dressing room. We felt like we'd bought a Rolls-Royce and the confidence level went through the roof.

"He's hard-working and just got straight down to business from day one. You would think he has been a part of the club for a couple of years.

"Some felt he was poorly treated at City but he didn't want sympathy from anyone. He just wanted to play football."

Hart was keen to stay at City, where he made 266 appearances, but despite not being in Guardiola's immediate plans speaks about the Premier League club to his new team-mates in glowing terms.

"Joe has quickly picked up basic Italian but he only talks about positives at Manchester City - nothing negative," Obi said.

"He reflects on the great moments - winning titles, big games and derbies - and tells us funny stuff about his team-mates, leaving us in stitches.

"Some of our players try to wind him up by playing as City on PlayStation just to remind him it's easier to score against him in a video game than in reality."
