Serie A strugglers boost survival hopes with attacking changes

Torino completed two deadline-day loan deals with Andrea Gasbarroni coming in and Nicola Amoruso heading out. Gasbarroni is an attacking midfielder who arrives on loan until the end of the season from Genoa in a bid to help Walter Novellino's men avoid relegation from Serie A. The 27-year-old has failed to make an impact at Genoa since his summer move from Parma, making just six league starts this season. Torino also announced that striker Amoruso has been shipped out to Siena after scoring four goals in 13 appearances for the Granata since moving from Reggina in the summer. The 34-year-old journeyman will be aiming to extend his record of having scored for 11 different Serie A sides. Torino have a crucial game at home to fellow strugglers Chievo next Sunday with both clubs currently four points adrift of safety.
