Juve midfielder to miss remainder of the season

Juventus midfielder Mohamed Sissoko has vowed to return stronger from the metatarsal injury which has ended his season. The former Liverpool player suffered the blow in Juve's recent 1-0 victory over Torino and was ruled out of the second leg of the club's UEFA Champions League clash with Chelsea. Claudio Ranieri's men exited the competition after a 2-2 draw at Stadio Olimpico with Didier Drogba's first-leg goal at Stamford Bridge securing a 3-2 aggregate success. Mali international Sissoko feels Juventus were unfortunate to crash out of Europe before the quarter-final stage and claims the Blues enjoyed more good fortune.

Fight

He told skysports.com: "I am very, very sad. My form was good, I was consistent enough, scoring goals, and this injury stopped me. "I am out for the season, however, that is life. Hopefully I will come back stronger next season to help Juve. We have to fight and qualify for the Champions League. "This season we were unlucky. I don't think Chelsea were better than us, they took their chances and they had a bit of luck. "We lost good players such as (Pavel) Nedved in the second game, so it was tough, but Juve will be back soon."
