Fresh doubts over striker's future after knee problem

Juventus striker Carvalho Amauri has been ruled out for at least six weeks after suffering a knee injury in training. Amauri was hurt during Thursday's session and scans have shown the Italy international has damaged the medial ligaments in his left knee. The 30-year-old requires between 40 and 50 days on the sidelines and he will be out of Juve's plans until the New Year. The injury will place further question marks over the Brazilian-born forward's future at Juve following his lack of goals this season. He has not scored in Serie A since February and reports have suggested Juve are considering a move for a new striker when the transfer window reopens.
