Heart condition forces club out of deal

Genoa have opted against signing Dutch midfielder Evander Sno after he failed the club medical. The former Ajax and Celtic man had been all set to pen a three-year deal on Thursday. However, during the routine medical a heart condition meant that Genoa have been unable to complete the deal. Sno suffered a heart attack last September while playing for Ajax's reserves, although he returned to action in November. It remains to be seen whether Sno, who is currently without a club, can now continue his professional playing career.
