Serie A giants express an interest in promising forward

Inter Milan and Juventus are prepared to admit that highly-rated striker Mattia Destro is under consideration as they piece together their transfer plans. The 21-year-old, who is currently co-owned by Genoa and Siena, shone for the latter last season as he netted 12 times in Serie A. The Italy U21 international is now generating plenty of interest, with top clubs aware of what he could add to their ranks. Destro has already taken in a spell on the books of Inter, having joined their academy ranks as a teenager, and could be lured back to Giuseppe Meazza. Juve, though, are also keen, and the newly-crowned Serie A champions could offer the youngster UEFA Champions League football next term.

Great prospect

"We like Mattia Destro, he has the right identikit for us," Juve's general manager Giuseppe Marotta told Sky Sport Italia. "We are waiting to see which club we have to deal with (as Genoa and Siena discuss their ownership agreement)." Inter's sporting director Marco Brance told Tele Radio Stereo: "We are thinking about Destro, but we must evaluate how much he would cost. "Destro is a great prospect, but we are also looking at other attacking options. "Will we sell (Giampaolo) Pazzini? We are pleased to hear that our players are appreciated by others and he is one we must decide what to do with."
