AC Milan have continued their summer spending with the signing of Switzerland international Ricardo Rodriguez.

The 24-year-old full-back has signed a four-year deal with the Italian side after moving from Wolfsburg, and has been linked to a Premier League move in previous transfer windows.

A statement read from the Serie A club read: "AC Milan announce the signing from VfL Wolfsburg of Ricardo Rodriguez, who has signed a contract until June 30, 2021."

Rodriguez, who has won 43 caps for Switzerland, is Milan's third signing of the summer following the arrivals of Franck Kessie and Mateo Musacchio.

Ivorian midfielder Kessie was signed from Atalanta while Argentina defender Musacchio has joined from Villarreal as the Rossoneri embark on what is expected to be a major squad overhaul under new Chinese owners, having laboured to sixth in the table last season.

Milan have also been linked to outgoing Chelsea striker Diego Costa, and are in talks with his agent Jorge Mendes over a possible move, according to Sky sources.
