Sicilians land young Argentinean striker on four-year deal

Paulo Dybala has completed his transfer to Palermo from Instituto of Argentina. The 18-year-old striker scored 17 goals in 40 appearances for the club in his home town of Cordoba, and is now in pre-season training with the Sicilian side, who finished 16th in last season's Serie A. Negotiations over Dybala had taken place over several months, and the player thanked his old club via Twitter after the four-year deal had been completed. "I want to thank all the coaching staff of Instituto and all my team mates because they helped me for being where I am now. "They gave me all their support during the championship last season, even when things did not go right. "I expect to have the chance to return some day to the team that gave me this beautiful chance, I will be thankful to them for ever."
