Juve held by Bologna as all three Wednesday games end level

Juventus missed the chance to move back to the top of Serie A as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Bologna at the Stadio Dell'Ara. Marco Di Vaio put the home team in front in the 17th minute with Mirko Vucinic levelling matters for the Bianconeri in the 59th minute. Juve lost Leonardi Bonucci to a red card in the 84th minute, while coach Antonio Conte was also dismissed as Juve drew their 13th game of the season, leaving them two points adrift of AC Milan at the top of the table. Sebastian Giovinco earned and converted a late penalty to hand Parma a share of the spoils in a 2-2 draw against Fiorentina. The visitors looked to be heading for their second win on the road this season when they led 2-1 late on but Fiorentina's Mattia Cassani held Giovinco in the area and the referee immediately blew his whistle and pointed to the spot.

Drama

Stefano Okaka had scored the first goal of the game for the hosts in the 28th minute but Fiorentina's Matja Nastasic equalised on the hour mark. Alessio Cerci put the visitors ahead before the late penalty drama. In the day's other game, 10-man Cesena held Catania to a goalless draw. Cesena defender Daniel Pudil was sent off for dissent after 21 minutes but the visitors failed to capitalise and had to settle for a point. Catania came closest to breaking the deadlock in the 71st minute when Pablo Barrientos hit the post.
