Rock-bottom Cologne's bid for Bundesliga survival was boosted as they came from behind to pull off a surprise 2-1 win at RB Leipzig.

Leipzig looked set to move into second place in the table thanks to a fifth-minute strike from Jean-Kevin Augustin, who followed up when Ademola Lookman's effort hit the post.

But Vincent Koziello levelled with a fine strike from just outside the box in the 70th minute and substitute Leonardo Bittencourt then completed the turnaround seven minutes later.

The victory sees Cologne go level on points with 17th-placed Hamburg, with both sides seven points behind 16th-spotted Mainz.

In the tight battle for Champions League berths, Leipzig are sixth, on the same amount of points as fifth-placed Bayer Leverkusen, with Eintracht Frankfurt one point ahead of them in fourth.
