Czech star agrees Leverkusen switch

Bayer Leverkusen have won the chase for Czech international defender Michal Kadlec. The 23-year-old, who has also interested Bundesliga rivals Hamburg and Dortmund, has agreed to join Leverkusen. He will put pen-to-paper on a contract as soon as he has passed a medical. "We have agreed terms with the player and have the consent of his club," Bayer chief executive Wolfgang Holzhauser told Kicker. Kadlec will arrive at the BayArena on an initial one-year loan from Sparta Prague, with the Bundesliga outfit then having the option to make the deal permanent. Meanwhile, Leverkusen have released striker Dimitri Bulykin after just one year. The Russian forward has joined Belgian side Anderlecht in a €1million move.
