Defender will not return until after the Christmas break

Nurnberg have confirmed that Dominic Maroh will be out until after the Christmas break after injuring his ankle. The defender picked up the problem in the 4-0 defeat to Borussia Dortmund and will now look to rest over the Christmas period. The 22-year-old has been a virtual ever present this term playing in 14 of Nurnberg's 15 Bundesliga games so far. Nurnberg team doctor Markus Brem confessed that he did not know when Maroh would be back but highlighted that the injury could have been a lot worse. "Thankfully there is no rupture or broken bone, however Dominic has a ligament problem and will be out for the time being," Brem told the club's official website. "Actually we have to wait and see on his recovery date."
