Defender hoping to remain at Dortmund

Mats Hummels has dashed any suggestion that he could be tempted to rejoin Bayern Munich. The Borussia Dortmund centre-half is a product of the Bayern academy system, spending 13 years on the books of the Bundesliga giants. He opted to take on a new challenge in January 2008, joining Dortmund on loan after finding first-team football hard to come by at Allianz Arena. That switch was made permanent in 2009, but Bayern are believed to have inserted a buy-back clause in the deal.

Settled

Hummels has refused to confirm whether such an agreement exists, as he is keen to steer clear of all transfer talk for now. He insists he is settled at table-topping Dortmund and sees no reason why he would want to return to a club who were more than happy to offload him. "Even if I had a clause which meant they could sign me back for just two euros, I don't want to leave," the Germany international told Bild. "I would rather stay with Dortmund."
