Midfielder is not prepared to publicly discuss his future

Forgotten Schalke midfielder Albert Streit has denied he is talking to newly-promoted Bundesliga outfit Augsburg. Reports on Monday suggested the 28-year-old was on the brink of leaving the Veltins Arena, despite being under contract until next summer. Streit did not feature in the Bundesliga for Schalke last season and the club are rumoured to want to get his high salary off their wage bill. But he said: "I am not aware of Augsburg's interest and I am not talking to Augsburg about a move at this moment." Streit added: "Basically, I have decided I am not be going to publicly discuss anything regarding myself or my future in the game."
