Watch Bayern Munich's footballers donning their lederhosen to celebrate the start of Oktoberfest in the German capital.

There has been plenty of fizz to Bayern Munich's season already, and now they've gone one step further by celebrating Oktoberfest in style.

That style is lederhosen, as the Bayern players enjoy a glass of beer ahead of the Bavarian folk festival wearing traditional clothing, with plenty of leather breeches and long socks on show to mark the festivities.

The full squad took part in the event, just one day on from Bayern Munich beating Russian club FC Rostov 5-0 in their Champions League opening Group D match.

Also present at the photocall was boss, and former Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti alongside former Derby manager Paul Clement, who is the Italian's assistant.

It was a new experience for Renato Sanches, who has impressed fans already with his performances after joining the club in the summer for an initial fee of £27.5m.

Oktoberfest officially starts on Saturday, with Bayern taking on Ingolstadt in Bundesliga action on the same day at 2:30pm (UK time).

In competitive action, Bayern have won all five of their matches this season without conceding a goal. So plenty of reasons to raise a glass!
