AZ Alkmaar will play FC Utrecht in the Eredivisie's Europa League play-off final after both sides comfortably negotiated their semi-final ties.
AZ had done the hard work against Groningen with a 4-1 win in Wednesday's first leg away from home, and they completed the job on Saturday with another 4-1 triumph, this time in front of their own fans.
Wout Weghorst, who netted twice in midweek, opened the scoring and a brace from Joris van Overeem either side of a Calvin Stengs goal sealed an 8-2 aggregate mauling. Bryan Linssen scored Groningen's goal on the night.
FC Utrecht, meanwhile, progressed with a 5-2 aggregate win over Heerenveen after a 2-1 second-leg victory on Saturday.
Ramon Leeuwin and Richairo Zivkovic struck in the first half to put the hosts further in control and Heerenveen could only respond through Reza Ghoochannejhad's 61st-minute penalty.
