Feyenoord moved top of the Eredivisie with a 5-0 thumping over Willem II on Sunday afternoon.

The champions were four up after only 40 minutes thanks to a Jens Toornstra double, the midfielder's goals coming either side of a Steven Berghuis effort.

Toornstra opened the scoring after 14 minutes and Berghuis added another three minutes later before Toornstra made it three goals in eight minutes by striking again after 21 minutes.

Tonny Vilhena made it four before Jean-Paul Boetius added the fifth with an 81st-minute penalty.

The win was the Rotterdammers third from three games, but PSV Eindhoven joined them on maximum points thanks to a 2-0 home win over Roda JC.

PSV also did the damage before the break with goals from Jurgen Locadia (10) and Hirving Lozano (25).

Roda, like bottom side Willem II, still have no points, with ADO Den Haag the only other team yet to get off the mark.
