Yuki Kobayashi fired a second-half winner as Heerenveen climbed top of the Eredivisie table with a 2-1 victory at Willem II.

Heerenveen's fourth straight league win, coupled with Feyenoord's home defeat to NAC Breda, saw them jump from fourth place into top spot after six matches.

Japan international Kobayashi struck with a low shot from outside the penalty area just before the hour mark after Stijn Schaars' fine free-kick on the stroke of half-time had cancelled out Elmo Lieftink's early opener for the hosts.

Heerenveen stretched their unbeaten league start to six games, while Willem II have lost five of their first six.

PSV Eindhoven play at Utrecht on Sunday, while second-placed AZ Alkmaar are at home against Excelsior.

Feyenoord slipped to a surprise 2-0 defeat at De Kuip thanks to goals in either half from Giovanni Korte and Thomas Enevoldsen.

Korte fired home in the 33rd minute following Thierry Ambrose's headed pass and Enevoldsen sealed back-to-back wins for Breda with an emphatic finish three minutes from the end.

Feyenoord, recently beaten 4-0 at home by Champions League rivals Manchester City, have lost their last three matches in all competitions.

Vincent Vermeij's stoppage-time winner earned Heracles Almelo a 2-1 home win and denied bottom club Roda JC their first league point of the season.

Mitchel Paulissen headed Roda into a fifth-minute lead and they held on until early in the second period when Robin Propper fired home from inside the area.

Roda appeared to have done enough to avoid a sixth straight defeat, but in the third minute of time added on Vermeij turned home Reuven Niemeijer's cross.

Abdenasser El Khayati struck the only goal early in the second half as ADO Den Haag registered their first home win of the season with a 1-0 victory against Sparta Rotterdam.
