David Neres scored twice as Ajax moved a step closer to Champions League qualification with a 4-1 win at home to VVV-Venlo.
Lasse Schone had an early penalty saved by VVV goalkeeper Lars Unnerstall, and the visitors took the lead two minutes before half-time through Ralf Seuntjens.
But Neres' quickfire double meant Ajax went into the interval ahead, first tapping in Donny van de Beek's cross to equalise before volleying in Rasmus Nissen's deflected pass in stoppage time.
Neres set up Klaas-Jan Huntelaar to tap in a third after 59 minutes and Hakim Ziyech's strike with 11 minutes left secured a win that moves Ajax five points clear of third-placed AZ Alkmaar, who they face on Sunday.
In the evening's other game, Groningen secured mathematical safety with a 1-1 draw at Utrecht.
Willem Janssen put the fifth-placed hosts ahead after eight minutes but Tom van Weert's penalty with 17 minutes left took Groningen seven points clear of the relegation play-off spots with two games to play.
