Young forward insists he is staying at Heerenveen

Reported FC Twente target Luciano Narsingh has ruled out leaving Heerenveen during the next winter transfer window. Twente were thought to be pursuing the 21-year-old forward this summer but a deal failed to materialise. Narsingh has since been linked with a January move but the youngster insists he and team-mate Oussama Assaidi are staying put until the end of the season. "I heard rumours that Twente were interested," Narsingh told The Week magazine. "But I just want to stay at the club and get a constant run of games. "I also had a lot of contact with Oussama Assaidi during that time and together we decided that we will finish this season with Heerenveen. "We both want a good season and to push for a place in the UEFA Europa League." Narsingh believes his progress at Heerenveen is partly down to the arrival of coach Ron Jans last year. "It gives me great confidence," he added. "Therefore I get really motivated and excited. "Last season was very good for me. Personality it was my peak season."
