Anwar El Chazi and Nemanja Gudelj both scored spectacular goals as Ajax beat Heracles 2-0 in the Eredivisie

Nigel Hasselbaink hit a 92nd-minute equaliser to earn Excelsior a 1-1 draw against PSV Eindhoven on Saturday night.

Davy Propper had opened the scoring for Phillip Cocu's side on 62 minutes, and despite the late leveller, PSV Eindhoven move up to third in the Eredivisie.

Ajax extended their lead at the top of the Eredivisie table after inflicting a first home defeat of the season on Heracles with a 2-0 win at the Polman Stadion.

Heracles, third overnight, had won all four previous home games but found themselves two down inside 22 minutes and never recovered.

Striker Anwar El Ghazi struck in the 14th minute and Serbian midfielder Nemanja Gudelj added a second eight minutes later to lift Ajax three points clear of second-placed Feyenoord, who play at Heerenveen on Sunday.

It is a welcome return to winning ways for Frank de Boer's side following last Sunday's home defeat to PSV Eindhoven.

Cambuur salvaged another point in a 1-1 home draw against AZ Alkmaar but remain second from bottom and are still without a league win this season.
