FC Utrecht have been dealt a blow with the news that striker Jacob Mulenga is facing several months on the sidelines.
During FC Utrecht's 1-0 loss at ADO Den Haag, Mulenga was forced to leave the field on a stretcher after sustaining a knee injury.
It has now been confirmed that the Zambia international suffered cruciate ligament damage and is set to be absent for six to nine months.
The 26-year-old signed for FC Utrecht from LB Chateauroux in 2009 and has managed three league goals this season.
