On-loan Portsmouth striker Ben Sahar admits he is looking forward to the January transfer window.

On-loan Israeli unlikely to extend Portsmouth stay

Ben Sahar has vented his frustration at his lack of opportunities at Portsmouth and confirmed he is looking forward to the January transfer window. The Chelsea striker signed at Fratton Park in the summer on a six-month loan but has yet to feature for the South Coast outfit. Sahar, 19, is eager for a chance to impress new boss Tony Adams but concedes he is hopeful of finding a new club at the turn of the year. He said in the News of the World: "I haven't spoken with our new manager - only with the coaches. "They tell me it is difficult right now with Peter Crouch and Jermain Defoe the first-choice strikers. "If I had played a few games and they said I wasn't good enough, then fine. But the fact is that I haven't been given the chance to shine. "In January I will try to find a team that wants to play me - and I've received a few offers."
