Galatasaray's Wesley Sneijder thought that his side deserved the victory, as they beat Schalke to qualify for the Champions League quarter finals.

Wesley Sneijder thinks Galatasaray can be proud of their achievement in reaching the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League.

Galatasaray boss Fatih Terim was understandably delighted with the victory and promised his players 'hugs and kisses'. "Now we are among the biggest eight teams in Europe," he said. "All Turkey and Galatasaray fans should enjoy this success. "I would like to thank all fans who came to Germany to watch us. I want to congratulate all of my players. "I hug and kiss them all. We played like an excellent European team in the first half. Until we conceded the goal, we had three clear chances to score."
