Who'll win the Champions League?

With the semi-final draw for this season's Champions League complete, we now know that Manchester City will face Real Madrid, while Atletico Madrid take on Bayern Munich.

But which of the four teams will be the one to go all the way to Milan next month and lift the trophy to become champions of Europe?

Cristiano Ronaldo will be returning to Manchester for the semi-final.

We take a look at the case for and against the sides left standing in this season's competition…

ATLETICO MADRID

The good news: Defensively formidable and arguably the best organised team in Europe, Atletico are as tough as they come. They have kept 13 clean sheets in 15 European ties at the Vicente Calderon, won at the Bernabeu as recently as February and knocked out defending champions Barcelona in the last eight. Bayern Munich will hold no fear for them.

The bad news: Atletico are not as free-scoring as their rivals and have scored half as many goals as semi-final opponents Bayern in this season's competition. Sustaining the effort required to shut down high-quality opponents is not easy and with Diego Simeone's side still chasing Barca in La Liga it will be a huge ask for them to keep going on two fronts.

BAYERN MUNICH

The good news: Bayern are the top scorers in the Champions League this season with Thomas Muller and Robert Lewandowski having scored eight goals apiece. This is the fifth season in a row in which the Bavarian powerhouses have been in the last four and they also boast the only coach left in the competition who has guided a team to victory. Twice.

The bad news: Pep Guardiola's style of play is extraordinary but also flawed. Bayern have made more errors leading to goals than any team in this season's Champions League and their opponents will be well aware of this vulnerability. Real beat them 5-0 on aggregate in the 2014 semi-final and City have beaten them three times in recent seasons.

MANCHESTER CITY

The good news: City have stepped up in the Champions League this season adding savvy to their style in winning at Sevilla, Borussia Monchengladbach and Dynamo Kiev as well as the impressive 2-2 draw at Paris Saint-Germain. Manuel Pellegrini's men will not be weighed down by expectation and in Sergio Aguero and Kevin De Bruyne, have the tools to hurt anyone.

Here's what to expect when Man City play Real Madrid in the Champions League

The bad news: With the other three teams having reached the final within the last three years, City are still the outsiders. They've lost almost as many league games (9) as the other three sides put together (11) so the weaknesses are evident and they cannot switch off domestically, either - their place in next season's Champions League is not yet secure.

REAL MADRID

The good news: La Decima might have been an historic achievement but 10 times isn't enough for Real Madrid. They have won this trophy more recently than the other three sides remaining and in Cristiano Ronaldo they possess a player who has scored twice as many goals as any other player in this season's competition.

The bad news: Currently third in La Liga and led by a rookie coach in Zinedine Zidane, there must still be question marks about the reliability of this Real Madrid side. They made a meal out of seeing off Wolfsburg in the quarter-finals and will be anxious to avoid Atletico in any potential final - they've beaten their Madrid rivals only once in their last 10 attempts.
