Gary Caldwell has pulled out of the Scotland squad for the qualifying games against Ukraine and Georgia.

Results of scan force withdrawal

Gary Caldwell has pulled out of the Scotland squad for the Euro 2008 qualifying games against Ukraine and Georgia. The defender suffered a knee injury in Celtic's 2-1 victory over Gretna on Sunday and completed the match in discomfort. Results of a scan on his knee have now forced Caldwell to withdraw from the squad. Caldwell's absence is the second injury blow in a matter of days for Scotland boss Alex McLeish following Paul Hartley's withdrawal due to a hamstring problem.
