Keith Fahey knows the Republic of Ireland must focus on their own performances and not worry about those of their rivals.
The Birmingham midfielder helped the Irish to make a winning start to their Euro 2012 qualifying campaign on Friday, notching the only goal in a 1-0 victory over Armenia.
Giovanni Trapattoni's men will be looking to build on that result when they welcome Andorra to the Aviva Stadium on Tuesday, a side who lost their opening fixture 2-0 to Russia.
Ireland are strong favourites to secure another three points on home soil, and back-to-back victories would send out a clear statement of intent to the other sides in Group B.
Fahey, though, insists the players will be going out with the sole target of claiming another success, and not looking to lay down a marker.
He said: "It will be important to us to get the three points and finish the two games on six.
"We can't really be looking around at the other countries, but as a group it would be a great boost for the squad.
Tough
"We will be looking to get three points - if we get three points, it will be a nice start to the group.
"But it will be a tough game - all international games are tough, and they will be hard to break down."
Fahey, following his goalscoring exploits last week, will be hoping to retain his place in Trapattoni's starting XI.
He has been in and out of the Birmingham side at the start of the 2010/11 campaign, but is adamant that he gets enough minutes under his belt at St Andrews to be considered for a regular role and does not expect to be given the cold shoulder by his national coach.
He said: "I am in and out at the moment. I started the first game of the season and another two games I have come on as a sub.
"If that's the case, well he (Trapattoni) would be struggling to pick a squad, I reckon.
"I think he will pick whoever he thinks is up to it."
