Gunners ace feels current crop could be the best

Robin van Persie has hailed the quality of Holland's squad following their 11-0 demolition job of minnows San Marino on Friday. The Arsenal striker helped himself to four goals in the game as Bert van Marwijk's side ran riot in their Euro 2012 qualifier. Van Persie concedes there are tougher games ahead, but he also knows there are a number of regulars also able to return to action in future. The 28-year-old has played in some impressive Dutch sides in the past and he feels their current crop of stars could be the best.

Quality

"There are always going to be games that are more difficult, but we have so many good guys," he told www.onsoranje.nl. "(Rafael) Van der Vaart wasn't there, or (Ibrahim) Afellay, or (Nigel) De Jong, or (Arjen) Robben. "This is a really good group. In terms of quality, this is perhaps the best group I've been a part of." Against San Marino, Van Persie was employed by Van Marwijk behind Klaas Jan Huntelaar, a role he enjoyed. "This game I had a free role," he said. "That was fun. "At Arsenal I play as the striker, that's what I do every day."
