Robin van Persie insists his recent fall out of favour with the Netherlands national team would never drive him to quit playing for his country and is determined to win back his place.
"The main question is: how do you cope with that? I think I can do that in a normal, positive way. "I am convinced this can be turned around because I believe in myself, and I also think I am a worthy addition to this Oranje side." Van Persie feels his reaction to being dropped has changed with age, adding: "If you are young, you are perhaps impatient and too emotional. "As you become older you learn - spending one or two games on the bench is not the end of the world."
