Striker always felt he would returning to scoring ways

Germany striker Miroslav Klose has insisted he never doubted his scoring ability after ending an eight-month international goal drought. Klose was a controversial starter against Australia on Sunday after netting just three times for Bayern Munich last season. But the attacker headed in his 11th World Cup goal versus the Australians to help his country achieve a fine 4-0 victory. Klose, who last scored for Germany in October, said: "I never doubted myself, have never done it and will never do it. I know my strengths. "This is one of my strengths, being able to be ready when it matters." Klose is Germany's third-highest goalscorer of all time, with 49 goals netted in 97 appearances.
