Corinthians manager Tite has agreed to become the new Brazil head coach, the club's president said on Wednesday.

Corinthians president Roberto de Andrade revealed the 55-year-old, who won two Brasileiro Serie A titles, the Copa Libertadores and the World Club Cup over three spells at the club, will succeed Dunga as the national coach.

Dunga was fired on Tuesday after a gloomy second spell in charge of the five-time World Cup winners.

He was ousted after his side lost to Peru and were eliminated from the Copa America at the group stage for the first time since 1987.

Andrade accused the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) of underhand tactics and unethical behaviour in appointing their preferred candidate behind his back.

"I am furious with the CBF," Andrade said. "They didn't even call us once. It wouldn't have changed anything if they'd called us and asked for permission to talk to the manager. Of course I'd have said yes.

"Tite deserves the national side for the work he has done and for the person he is. The national side doesn't deserve Tite. The CBF doesn't deserve a person like Tite. They aren't used to dealing with ethical people."
