Oldham and Millwall could be celebrating award doubles after securing nominations for February's Sky Bet League One player and manager of the month.

The Latics climbed out of the relegation zone last month, under the stewardship of John Sheridan, by taking 14 points from seven games.

Sheridan's nomination comes 12 months after he was also selected by the awards panel in his previous spell as Oldham boss, having left for Notts County last summer, only to return to Boundary Park for a third time in January.

Oldham defender Peter Clarke is nominated for the player award after scoring two goals in the month and helping the team keep four clean sheets.

Meanwhile, Millwall extended their unbeaten streak to 13 games last month (it now stands at 14) by taking 15 points from their seven games under Neil Harris.

Harris' defensive system worked a treat in February, with the Lions going the entire month without conceding a goal and moving into the top six.

That incredible record sees left-back Tony Craig nominated for player of the month.

The final managerial nomination goes to Oxford United boss Michael Appleton, whose side won four games from five in February to climb towards the play-off places.
