Arsene Wenger insisted there was still work to do despite seeing Arsenal stroll to a 3-0 win over West Brom.

Gunners boss pleased with another win and Van Persie's form

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger insisted there was still work to do despite seeing his side pick up another win with a comfortable 3-0 success over West Brom. Goals from Robin van Persie, Thomas Vermaelen and Mikel Arteta earned the Gunners the points, and the north Londoners finally moved onto a positive goal difference. Despite the impressive run, though, Wenger believes there is still plenty of work to do.

Improvement

He said: "I think we have made some improvements that's for sure, but there is still room for improvement. "I always said let's come back in December - the real tests we knew were Chelsea and winning after a big game, then the consistency. "Of course we are not at the same level we were one month ago but we are still with some work to do." He added: "Overall it was a controlled performance where we had complete domination of the game. "The spirit of the squad was right from the first until the last minute, we worked well together. This team wants to get better and better, that is the most satisfying thing."
World class
Van Persie was once again integral during the victory, scoring and picking up two assists, and Wenger hailed the striker as 'world class'. He remarked: "At the moment it's difficult to stop him, he was not only the goalscorer but the provider today, that's what I like with the strikers. He is world class." Vermaelen could have scored two but the defender saw a header go inches wide in the second half. Wenger was delighted with the Belgian and while also praising Carl Jenkinson, expressed his pleasure that a defender got on the scoresheet. He said: "I like centre-backs who score goals - I like everyone on my team to score goals."
