Tottenham have named former Aston Villa defender Ugo Ehiogu as the new coach of their U21 side.

The 41-year-old, who had lengthy spells at Villa and Middlesbrough during his playing career, was handed the role after working at the club’s academy on a part-time basis.

Ehiogu will be assisted by Matthew Wells, who steps up from his coaching role with the U15s.

They are joined by former captain Ledley King after Tottenham this week announced he had also taken up an academy job, coaching the club's U18s on a part-time basis.
