After providing us with their greatest memories and Golden Boot winner, the Soccer Saturday pundits deliver their most important predictions of all.

Brazil and Germany are the outright favourites with Sky Bet, while Spain, France, Argentina and Belgium are all shorter odds than 16/1-shots England to triumph in Russia this summer.

But who are the Soccer Saturday pundits backing? Here are their predictions...

Charlie Nicholas: Brazil (4/1 with Sky Bet)

The side I have a really strong feeling for is Uruguay, as I think they'll stroll through their group and score plenty of goals. They've also got a good backbone from Atletico Madrid and depth in quality, as shown by the young Real Madrid midfielder Fede Valverde - who I'm told by the main scout at Southampton is absolutely fantastic and could have been the big emerging talent of this tournament - not making the cut.

Edinson Cavani (L) and Luis Suarez are a formidable duo for Uruguay

In terms of favourites, I've edged towards Brazil. If Neymar is fit and ready to go, then they deserve to head the market as I don't fancy Germany at all at 5/1.

I also want Argentina to win it for Lionel Messi, but I just don't think the rest of the side is good enough. Jorge Sampaoli will be working on their defensive structure every day and if Sergio Aguero is fit and firing, then they do have a chance. People are saying that their group is difficult, but I don't see it.

Paul Merson: Brazil (4/1 with Sky Bet)

I think they're an absolute certainty. They'll breeze through their group and last-16 game - they are head and shoulders above anybody else.

The thing is nobody is watching South American internationals so they don't appreciate how good Brazil are. People are getting carried away with Germany because Leroy Sane can't get in, but that's just because he had a disappointing end to the season. Brazil are far better.

Matt Le Tissier: Spain (13/2 with Sky Bet)

I have decided to put my hard earned pennies on Spain. For me there are three teams who have a fairly equal chance of winning the competition and Spain are the better value than Germany and Brazil.

I think Spain have the most quality across the board, from a world-class goalkeeper in David de Gea to their forwards, while their midfield is what really stands out with their ability to dominate games.

Phil Thompson: France (6/1 with Sky Bet)

I've been very insistent that Germany will always get you a semi-final spot, but I've got a sneaky feeling France will surprise everybody.

The squad is very good and perhaps more united than they have been for a while. Belgium and Spain have fantastic teams, Brazil have a brilliant side, but I just fancy France to turn up this year.
