Morecambe manager Jim Bentley admits football is not his players' priority at present with no sign of their wages being paid.
A dispute as to who actually owns the club has left Morecambe in a dire financial situation, meaning players' salaries have not been paid.
Diego Lemos and Graham Burnard both claim to be the major shareholder of G50 Holdings - the company that owns Morecambe Football Club.
US-Italian businessman Joseph Cala wants to buy the club and claims to have agreed a deal to take control, but that takeover has not been ratified by the EFL.
Morecambe face a tough trip to Sky Bet League Two leaders Doncaster this weekend, but Bentley conceded his squad have more pressing concerns to deal with.
"We are one of the smaller clubs in the division, most of our lads will be hands in their mouths at the end of each month, bills coming out," Bentley told Sky Sports News HQ. "That's the disappointing thing. It's quite alarming really because they have got kids to feed, mortgages to pay.
"If your wages aren't in at the end of the month you're trying to concentrate on playing football but the biggest worry at the minute is people phoning up mortgage companies and maybe asking for a little bit more time because a week has gone by and there's no sign of anyone getting paid.
"Who knows what is around the corner for us but in the meantime it's hard to manage. For me as manager I'm under a lot of pressure because the lads are looking to me for leadership and guidance, and the staff are as well, but it's frustrating because there's no real light at the end of the tunnel at the moment.
"We'll have to just hope for the best, see what happens over the coming days. In the meantime we've got to prepare for a big game on Saturday away at Doncaster."
