Dani Alves faces a spell on the sidelines after he suffered a broken leg during Juventus' shock defeat to Genoa on Sunday.
Alves left the field on a stretcher with 10 minutes remaining as the Serie leaders slumped to a shock 3-1 defeat.
The Italian champions were forced to see out the game with only 10 men as Massimiliano Allegri had already made three substitutions.
Juve announced after the match that Alves had suffered a compound fracture of his fibula in his left leg.
The Brazilian right-back will undergo further tests on Monday which is likely to determine the length of his lay-off.
Fellow defender Leonardo Bonucci was forced off during the first half with a thigh injury and will be also be re-evaluated.
The injures could leave the Turin side short in defence as Andrea Barzagli is not expected to return until the New Year due to a shoulder injury, while Giorgio Chiellini's has struggled this season with muscular problems.
