Football League sides Bradford, Colchester and Carlisle all secured their passage into the third round of the FA Cup on Sunday, while non-league Whitehawk earned a last-gasp replay at Dagenham & Redbridge.

National League South side Whitehawk scored an equaliser in the fifth minute of injury-time to earn a deserved 1-1 draw with League Two Dagenham & Redbridge at Victoria Road.

The home side went ahead five minutes in when 40-year-old striker Jamie Cureton latched on to a pass from Josh Passley, controlled and turned his marker well before firing low into the net.

Whitehawk thought they had equalised when Arnaud Mendy headed into the net after Dean Leacock had hit the bar but the referee's assistant ruled it out.

However, the away side's pressure paid off in the closing stages when Jordan Rose headed into the net in the 95th minute to ensure they remain in the competition.

Colchester booked their spot in the FA Cup third round thanks to a last-minute goal from Callum Harriot as they came back to beat National League side Altrincham 3-2.

Altrincham skipper Jake Moult opened the scoring in the third minute, chipping a loose ball first time from all of 30 yards over Colchester goalkeeper Jamie Jones

Harriot equalised for the League One side, however, finishing well after a neat flick on by Marvin Sordell.

However, 18 seconds into the second half, Michael Rankine put the non-league side back in front after getting in behind the Colchester defence before placing in the corner. Tom Lapslie made it 2-2 seven minutes later before Harriot's brilliant finish in the last minute sealed the win for the Us in caretaker manager Wayne Brown's first match in charge.

League One side Bradford are also in the hat for Monday evening's third-round draw after a routine 4-0 win over non-league Chesham United.

The home team broke the deadlock in the 22nd minute when Kyel Reid struck on the half volley from the edge of the box before James Hanson latched on to a long ball over the top to fire his sixth goal of the season just before half-time.

Gary Liddle and Devante Cole scored a goal apiece in added on time at the end of the second half to make the scoreline even more emphatic.

Exeter City shocked League One side Port Vale 2-0 at St James Park to reach the third round.

The home side took the lead from a corner after 19 minutes when Lee Holmes found Jordan Tillson at the back post and his header squeezed over the line.

Joel Grant thought he had doubled his side's lead after a set-piece just outside the Port Vale box but he was flagged offside. However, Ollie Watkins sealed the win in the 89th minute for the Grecians when he got away from the Vale defence.

Carlisle booked their place in the next round after making light work of National league side Welling United.

A Charlie Wyke hat-trick alongside goals from Antony Sweeney and a Danny Grainger penalty underlined the League Two side's dominance throughout the 5-0 win.

Grainger saw a spot-kick saved by Michael McEntegart in the Welling goal in the second half but he got a chance to make up for that when Harry Osborne was sent off after bringing down Sweeney in the box, allowing the defender to atone for his earlier miss.

Earlier Danny Rose was the hero as Bury secured a 1-0 win over Rochdale.

Rose got on the end of Chris Hussey's dangerous corner to head home after just eight minutes.

Ian Henderson was denied twice as he looked for a Rochdale equaliser as Peter Clarke and Leon Clarke both had goals ruled out for Bury.

Two goals from Everton loanee Conor Grant sent Doncaster Rovers into the third round after coming from behind to beat Cambridge United 3-1.

Luke Berry put the home side ahead after 23 minutes, after he followed up when Barry Corr's penalty was saved.

Grant equalised shortly after the break with a shot from the edge of the box before Mitchell Lund tapped in to give the away side the lead. Grant then got his second with a fantastic effort in off the post from 25 yards to completely turn the game around.

Oxford United are through to the draw for the third round after a hard fought 1-0 win over National League side Forest Green Rovers.

A tight encounter was settled by Kemar Roofe who struck in the 76th minute with an effort from the edge of the area.

Peterborough made their dominance count in a deserved 2-0 win over League Two side Luton Town at London Road.

The home side took the lead through Conor Washington, who followed up last week's hat-trick against Scunthorpe by twisting and turning on the left hand side before firing into the top corner 10 minutes before half-time.

Marcus Maddison completed the scoring in a comfortable home win with less than 10 minutes remaining.
