Slaven Bilic has blasted the actions of some Croatia fans for the racist behaviour which has landed their football federation in trouble with UEFA.
The Croats have been charged by Europe's governing body for alleged racists chants and symbols displayed by their fans during their Group C match against Italy last Thursday.
UEFA are also investigating reports that a banana was thrown on the pitch, while some independent observers have stated that Mario Balotelli was racially abused by Croatia fans.
For Bilic, the actions of these fans have no place in modern football or society.
"It's very disappointing to hear that some of our supporters have behaved like this," he said.
"I don't like these people; I don't want these people supporting us. We don't want them in the stadium. We are angry with these stupid fans as well. We need to stop them forever."
Problem
However, Bilic has defended his country against claims that racism is a problem there.
For him, racism is a social problem that is afflicting not just Croatia, but other countries around the world too.
"That's my personal opinion," he added. "I think there is a problem all over Europe and the world.
"But as a Croat, as a parent, as a sportsman who comes from a modern open-minded country, I don't think there is a specific problem in Croatia with racism. We are a tolerant society."
